Welcome Message to IRC 2025

Dr.Krisda Suchiva Chairman of the Organising Committee IRC 2025

The International Rubber Conference 2025 (IRC2025) will be held in Bangkok, Thailand during 1-3 December 2025 . This is the very first time that the IRC will be organised in Thailand, the number one supplier of natural rubber to the world’s rubber products manufacturing industry, although we had previously organised the RubberCon before in 2013. We are honoured to be given an opportunity to host this event on behalf of the rubber societies throughout the world which are members of the IRCO. We will do our best to make the IRC 2025 a successful and memorable event as well as being beneficial to all the participants.

As we are well aware, the IRC is one of the leading and most widely known international rubber conference which has been organised since 1966. The Conference provides a forum for sharing new developments in the science, technology and engineering of rubbers and rubber products, including the issues of health, safety and environment in connection with the modern rubber industry ; the objectives are to encourage and promote international progress, co-operation as well as involvement of the younger generation for sustainability of the rubber industry.

The theme of IRC 2025 is “Rubber Revolution: Balancing Nature and Innovation for a Sustainable Future”. A rather emphatic theme reflects our belief that there is an increasing urgency for all of us to work harder and more effectively to achieve sustainability of our future, we in the rubber industry included. Therefore, the IRC 2025 will focus on the innovation of increasing uses of natural raw materials (particularly natural rubber which has unique attributes to help accelerate achievement of net zero emissions goal for the rubber industry), technologies supporting the circular economy of the rubber industry, design and manufacturing technologies for sustainable rubber products with also longer life, raising safety and lowering of negative impact on the environment of the rubber products and unexplored applications of rubbers and rubber composites.

On behalf of the Organising Committee of the IRC 2025, I would like to extend our invitation to all of you who are actively working in the rubber academia and the rubber industry to participate in the IRC 2025, to obtain the benefits of learning and exchanging new knowledge and technology relating to the development of sustainable rubber industry. The Conference will also provide you with a rare opportunity to meet and discuss with outstanding researchers who have long experiences in rubber research, which may lead to future collaboration among those who attend. We are looking forward to your participation and support.

A warm welcome to Thailand, the land of smile rich in cultures, historic sites, beautiful scenery and, of course, natural rubber.
